Colors P85 Review: Did Colors just copy design of Star Mobile Up sense or Symphony i50 or Panasonic Eluga Prim ?

Star Mobile Upsense which is similar to Colors P85

Teletalk Pvt. Ltd recently launched their first fingerprint smartphone under Colors mobile's branding dubbed as Pride P85. Colors Mobile launched P85 with latest fingerprint sensor in front and expected to have wider acceptance from budget customers. Colors is doing nation wide campaign for their newly launched smartphones. As a tech geek, I am always interested to see latest device in local market. But, this time Colors P85 make me disappointment with their P85 model because it's designed matched  ditto with 3 other  smartphone models namely Star Mobile Up Sense (Philippines), Symphony i50
(Bangladesh) and Panasonic Eluga Prim ( India).
I am confused what to say to these models; is it cheap level of copy cat or fooling customers by offering same Chinese  vendor's mobile by changing name? If Colors is promoting their brand as a Nepalese largest mobile company, then I think they should designed their handset here in Nepal or they can say their vendor to make exclusive design for Colors only.
Let's see Colors P85, Star Up sense, Symphony i50 and Panasonic Eluga Prim in single photo. You will get surprise that how company making their customers fool.

In Specification wise too, all these devices are same.
  • 2500 mAh  Li-poly battery
  • 1.3Ghz MTK 6580 Quad core SOC
    Panasonic Eluga Prim
  • Android Marshmallow 6.0
  • Same Camera sensors (8MP +5MP)
  • HD IPS 2.5D display
Interesting fact is that all these smartphones looks same as iPhone looking from upfront. That means their Chinese vendor also copies primary designed from iPhone. Android smartphones are getting too much competition, so that company need to offer less price to take competitive market share. But I think, company need to invest some money in R&D so that they can have unique identity in market.  Without strong R&D facilities, products will be like this, same design, same specs but different name. I think customers should filter out those brand and should start use product of strong brand who have history in research and design. There are few companies who are continuously doing research and development by employing huge numbers of research engineers. One strong reason of massive drop in sales of OEM brand in India and Nepal is that they never invest money in research and designed. They only purchased ID from few suppliers from China and tag their brand name. Later on, customers are getting aware and slowly boycotting such product. Lastly, Colors mobile again make budget customer disappointment with their Colors P85 model. I suggest companies to make effort on strong research and design team. I hope Colors will not attempt this kind of cheap mistake again.
