As we get closer to 2016, Nepalese mobile market getting tougher competition by Chinese handset manufactures. Chinese handset maker provides latest technology to their target customer. We will see more trend follower brands in Nepal in 2017 instead of trend setter. Nepalese mass customers still did not get chance to use latest mobile technology like fingerprint sensors, dual camera, latest android operating system and better build quality.
In the race of Chinese brands dominant smartphone market,
LAVA International set to launch their first fingerprint enabled handset in
late December of early January 2017. Unlike Colors, Micromax, Intex and CG;
Lava increasing their average selling price in Nepali market with their successful
product like Iris 870. Lava beats all Indian brands in Nepal in terms revenue
generation in 2016. Lava gets closer competition from Nepali OEM brand colors
but strategically LAVA differentiated their path for 2017.

It is obvious that introducing fingerprint sensor at beginning
of 2017 is still in question mark but let’s see how Lava prepared to face tough
competition from Chinese brands. We got exclusive details of upcoming mobile of
LAVA which is obviously fingerprint enabled which already mention.
Let’s reveal detail specification, price and availability of
LAVA A3
Design:
Lava A3 is a 5.5 inch HD 720 pixel resolution enabled handset. On the top
of screen, there is 2.5D arc glass coating which is also a trend of 2016 mid
range mobiles. LAVA explains that their 2.5D arc glass is protected by corning
gorilla glass (2015’s trend) for damage and scratch resistant measuring 0.8mm
thickness. Lava A3 is metal unibody designed for better grip and good hand
feeling while using handsets.
Camera:
Lava always tried to avoid poor camera quality tag of Indian brands. We can
expect better camera application in this A3 too. In terms of camera, Lava A3
has 13 megapixel Sony IMX 258 rear camera with f2.0 aperture. For the selfies lover, there is 8 mega pixel
f2.0 aperture with 5P lens. There is also front flash for night selfies which
is the trend for better camera performance at night.
Fingerprint:
We already seen fingerprint enabled
handsets starting from 10 thousands in Nepali market. I don’t think fingerprint
is the sole USP to make better customer demand. In terms of fingerprint configuration,
it follows inspiration from Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, which means rear fingerprint
below the back camera. Lava claims that A3 responds fingers at 0.16 seconds
with 360 degree reorganization. Lava A3’s fingerprint can be use for multiple
application locks and unlocks.

Hardware & Software: Lava A3 equipped
with 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage with hybrid expandable storage. On the
top of that, Lava A3 is powered by mid range Mediatek SOC MTK6750 octacore.
This chipset runs up to 1.5 Ghz using cortex A53 eight cores. There is Mali T860 Mp2 GPU which helps to
process graphics smother. Under the hood, there is customized android skin user
interface called Star OS version 3.3 on the android marshmallow 6.0. Lava’s star OS skin is not popular for regular
update and more features.
Battery: Lava A3 fueled by 3020 mAh
battery which can be use for normal one day. Battery can last for one day in
normal use. There is no fast charging technology which is an disappointment in
year 2017 where all brands focusing on faster charging technology.
