Few things about "Why Xiaomi products' prices are high in Nepal compared to India":
1) Offline Sales: In India, xiaomi is directly selling its product only through online. That means they don't have to pay extra money for a third party to sell their product in India. Well, in Nepal, There is no possibility to sell our product only through Online. As most of us (Nepalese people) likes to visit retailer stores, experience the device, bargain the price and buy it. So in-order to make our product available in retailer stores near by you, we have to give some profit margins to regional distributors and retail stores, which ultimately increases the pricing of our devices.
2) Made in India: Xiaomi has started manufacturing its devices in India. Which ultimately helps them to keep their products' price low.
3) Quantity: India is word's second largest mobile market where Xiaomi has sold millions of handsets in just few seconds. Whereas in Nepal, we have very small market compared to India. Now, because of this, we cannot sell our product in large quantity. Which means we have to order our product in less number of quantities from Xiaomi. And that cost expensive to us because of less quantity.
4) Competition: As we mentioned India is the second largest mobile market in the world, there is very high competition. So xiaomi has no other choice beside selling its product at very low price in India. Whereas in Nepal, we are at least offering better specs and quality product in less price compared to other mobile companies in Nepal. For example, you won't find Helio X10 chipset under 20k on other smartphones beside Redmi Note 2, Same goes with Redmi Note 3 on which you are getting Snapdragon 650 processor under 25k.
And lastly, we will request you to see the pricing of Xiaomi products in Singapore and Malaysia where you will see the price difference between their countries and India. So there is price difference in different countries.
Xiaomi is popular around the world for offering the best value for money products, but not for offering a product in cheap price.
We hope this will make things clear regarding "Why price of Xiaomi product is high in Nepal compared to India"
